The President, Bettina Limperg, is the head of the Federal Court of Justice. She is the superior of the judges, civil servants and staff of the court.
Beside the President, 153 judges are employed at the Federal Court of Justice, including 19 presiding judges.
In addition to them approximately 300 further staff who are essential to the functioning of the court are employed in Karlsruhe and Leipzig.
